Where do I ship my ties to?
After paying, the shipping address will be displayed in your internet browser. This address is also sent to you in the order confirmation email.
I'm in New York City. Do I have to ship? Can I just drop my ties off somewhere?
Absolutely! Don't ship – pay online and drop your ties off at ALTER Men @ 109 Franklin Street (at Greenpoint Avenue) in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. ALTER Men is an authorized drop-off location. This is not the SKINNYFATTIES shipping address. Click here for store hours and directions.
When you receive my ties, how will you know they are mine?
We ask that you print your order confirmation email (or copy the order number by hand onto a sticky note) and send it in with your ties.
How will you know which ties of mine correspond with the width that I ordered?
Let us know in the additional comments and/or enclose it in the package. Be as descriptive as possible. If we are unsure, we will contact you.
How do gift cards work?
SKINNYFATTIES Gift Cards are redeemable online, have no fees, and never expire. It's the perfect gift. Want to check your balance? Shoot us a message here.
What do you do with the excess fabric?
Currently, our cat, Lady, goes wild over the stuff. We are, however, developing new ways to use it.
How much does it cost?
Tie tailoring costs $30 USD each. For each tie purchased and every tie tailored, a $1 donation is made to Career Gear. We ship your ties back at no charge, wherever you are.
Am I notified once you receive my ties?
When we receive your ties, you will be the first to know by email!
How long will it take for me to get my tie back?
Give us 10 business days. We will ship your ties back to you for free no matter where you are in this world.
What shipping service do you use?
We ship using United States Postal Service (USPS)
When you ship, do you supply a tracking number?
Absolutely! We will email you with that number once it ships.
What sizes can my tie be tailored to?
Ties are usually around 4" wide. We tailor ties down to 2", 2.25", 2.5", 2.75" and 3".
Can the tie be made of any material?
Your ties can be made from any material... except pudding... pudding is a hard one.
Are there other things you can make into ties?
Like what?? Is this a trick question?
If my tie gets messed up, can I get my money back?
We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged shipments. Should an error occur during the tailoring process, SKINNYFATTIES is under no obligation to compensate (financially or in credit). The use of our service is completely at your own risk. With that said, we do everything possible to ensure our customer's happiness.
Explain loop labels and what happens to them.
Loop labels are the branded loop that hold the skinny end of the tie in tact when you wear it. This is a case-by-case procedure. If it's missing, we will replace it with a SKINNYFATTIES loop label. Where ever possible, we try to use the original label in the original spot. However, many times, the brand name will get cut off if tailored. If this is the case, we vertically stitch the original loop label on the back side of the skinny end of the tie and put a SKINNYFATTIES loop label where the original loop label was.
Will you dry clean my ties also?
At this time, we do not dry clean ties. Sorry :/
Can I get a discount if I send in multiple ties?
